Welcome to Term 1 2025

27 January 2025

Dear Parents/Guardians,

Whether you are a returning family or joining us for the first time, we are so excited to partner with you in your child’s educational journey this year.

Please read the letter below with important information to help get the school year off to a smooth start.

Please remember to check the TASS Calendar regularly for events, updates, incursions, and excursions.

Tuesday 28 January: First day for Year 1 to 12 students and the 4-year-old Light group in ELC.

Wednesday 29 January: First day for the 3-year-old Shine group in ELC.

Thursday 30 January: First day for Prep students.

Wednesday 5 February: Parent Information Session (further details to follow)

Canteen

We are excited to streamline our canteen service by transitioning to online orders for all Primary School students. This change ensures a smoother and more efficient process for both parents and our canteen staff. Starting immediately, all orders for Primary students must be placed online via our designated platform.

To place your orders, please click on the buttons below to view the new menu and online ordering system. This can also be found in the Parent Portal on SEQTA. This platform allows you to plan meals conveniently and ensures accuracy in fulfilling orders. Please note that Secondary students will still be able to purchase goods directly from the canteen.

Medical Document Process

Parents of students with diagnosed medical conditions such as asthma, allergies, or anaphylaxis are required to complete the necessary medical documents through the Parent Engage Portal. These

medical documents must be updated annually and when any changes occur for yourchild's health management.

These include

  1. A Medical Action Plan completed by your Doctor for your child's specific medical condition. You can print this and take to your child's doctor, then upload on the Parent Portal.
  2. The College "Individual Risk Management Plan" for your child's medical condition that is completed by you.

Completion of both of these documents is necessary prior to your child attending school in Term 1.

To access these documents, select the Parent Engage Portal and click on “Forms & Medical”, then select

“Medical Management Plans”. You can then select the relevant plan/s from the list provided, as seen below:

New Bus Services

We are pleased to offer new and improved bus services this year to better support our families.

The new services include updated routes and schedules to accommodate a growing number of students.

Designated Bus Stops (see map below):

  • Stops marked with a red star on the map are available for families along the route.
  • These stops are strictly "drop-and-go," meaning the bus cannot wait for parents to arrive to collect younger students.

Eligibility:

  • Year 5 to Year 12 students may use the bus stops.
  • Prep to Year 4 students may use the bus stops if accompanied by an older sibling (Year 5 to Year 12) who will supervise them.
  • Unfortunately, younger students cannot ride the bus alone, as we cannot leave them unsupervised at the designated stops, and we are unable to ensure their safety without a supervising adult present.

If your family would like to use the bus service this year, please complete the College Bus Expression of Interest Form below.
