1 December 2025
Dear Parents / Guardians,
RE: End of Year Reminders
As we approach the end of another school year, I want to extend my sincere thanks for your partnership, support
and encouragement throughout 2025. It has been a blessing to witness the growth and achievements of our students and to walk this educational and spiritual journey together.
As the year draws to a close and the holiday season approaches, please be mindful of the following points to facilitate a smooth conclusion to the year.
Lost Property
We have accumulated a significant amount of lost property throughout the year. Items will be displayed on tables
outside Student Reception from Wednesday 3 December to Friday 5 December. We encourage parents and students to look through the items during this time to ensure belongings are collected before the holidays.
Last Day of School
Our final day for 2025 will be Friday, 5 December, with an early finish at 1:00pm for all students. Please ensure prompt pickup. Kindly note that the canteen will be closed on this day.
Parent Involvement Program – Reminder for 2026
As we prepare for the 2026 school year, we remind families of our Parent Involvement Program, which encourages shared contribution to our community. Each family pays a $100 Parent Levy, which is credited back once you complete either a Working Bee or approved Community Event volunteering.
Our first Working Bee for 2026 will be held on Saturday, 24 January 2026.
To register, please click here: Working Bee on 24/01/26
More details about our other Community Events and additional Working Bees will be shared closer to each date.
Second-Hand Uniform Shop
The Second-Hand Uniform Shop will be open in the Sports Centre on Thursday, 22 January and Friday, 23 January from 10:00am to 12:30pm each day. Please note that only card payments are accepted.
In addition, please also note that the availability of the uniforms is subject to donations from parents. Moreover, the quality of the second-hand uniforms varies as it depends on how the pre-owners treated them. The uniforms would not be as good as 'new'.
Commencement of 2026
School resumes on Tuesday, 27 January 2026 at 9am.
As we enter the Christmas season, we give thanks for the greatest gift of all; our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ. May His peace, hope and joy fill your hearts and homes as you celebrate His birth. We pray that your holiday period is restful, safe and filled with meaningful moments with loved ones.
Thank you for being a valued part of the Lighthouse Christian College community. We look forward to serving your family again in the new year as we continue to guide and nurture our students in faith, learning and character.
Wishing you a blessed Christmas and a joyful New Year in Christ.
