Urgent Reminder: BYOD Device Purchase Deadline
7 November 2024
Dear Parents/Guardians,
Urgent Reminder: BYOD Device Purchase Deadline
We are writing to remind you of the urgent need to secure a BYOD device for your child for the 2025 academic year. As previously communicated, all devices should have been purchased no later than 8 November 2024 to ensure they are ready for Term One in 2025.
Who Needs to Take Action:
New Students (Years 4 - 12) - All new students must have a device purchased through the College portal. This ensures full compatibility with our educational systems and network security.
Returning Students with Existing Devices:
Next Steps:
Device Purchase: If a new device is required, please purchase it through the College portal. Specifications and details are outlined in the above letter, and the portal can be accessed at: https://lighthouse.orderportal.com.au
Device Recheck: If your child’s device needs to be verified, please ensure it is brought to the ICT team as soon as possible to confirm compliance.
Important Deadline:
Please be aware that any devices purchased after 8 November 2024 may not be ready for use at the start of the 2025 academic year. The sooner you place an order through the portal the more likely it will be for us to provide the device to your child at the start of 2025 and to not disrupt your child’s learning experience.
Please Note:
At the commencement of 2025 only student devices registered on the school domain will have access
to our systems, software and internet. Hence, all students will need to have a compliant device to be able to effectively participate in the learning delivered at the school.
For questions about your child’s device, contact the ICT team at helpdesk@lighthouse.vic.edu.au
For inquiries about the BYOD program, reach out to the E-Learning Coordinator at eLearning@lighthouse.vic.edu.au.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter and for ensuring your child is prepared for a successful year ahead.

Thank You
