Before and After School Supervision

Dear Parents/Guardians,

I am writing to you to address some important concerns regarding the safety of our students before and after school. Your child's safety is our top priority, and we need your support to ensure that our school remains a safe and secure environment for all.

Recently, we have observed a number of students arriving very early in the morning or leaving late in the afternoons. While we understand that various circumstances

may lead to these situations, it is crucial to emphasize that such practices pose potential risks to the safety and well-being of our students.

To address this issue, I would like to remind you of the procedures that we follow at LCC

Early Arrival

Students should not arrive before

7:15 in the morning, as there will be no supervision available.

If your child (Primary or

Secondary) arrives between 7:15 and 8:15am, they are required to report to Ms. D’Souza

in the Library, where they will be supervised until the yard is adequately

supervised.

At 8:15am, students will be

permitted to go out into the yard, where a yard duty teacher will be present.

Students are not permitted on the oval before school.

Students are not permitted to leave the school

grounds in the morning after their arrival.

Late Departure

Student supervision concludes at

3:45pm in the afternoon, as staff are required to attend meetings and other

responsibilities.

All students should have left the

school premises by this time unless they are participating in a staff-led

activity or attending Camp Australia for out-of-school-hours care.

Any Primary student not collected

by 3:45pm will be escorted to Camp Australia, and parents will be billed for

this service.

Secondary students are expected to

report to Student Reception at 3:45pm if they are still onsite, and parents

will be contacted to collect them.

Furthermore,

We want to express our concern regarding students gathering in the park adjacent to the school after hours. This area is unsupervised after 3:45pm, and students may be exposed to potential dangers. We kindly urge you to encourage your child to refrain from lingering in the park after this time for their safety.

Thank You

Your cooperation and support in reinforcing these guidelines with your child are greatly appreciated. By working together, we can ensure a safe and secure environment for all our students.

If you have any questions or concerns regarding these measures, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yours in His service.

David Holloway
