Welcome Back to Term 3

19 July 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We trust you and your family have enjoyed a restful and refreshing break.

As we look ahead to the second half of the school year, we are excited to welcome all students back for Term 3 on Wednesday, 23 July.

Upcoming Events:

Parent Cyber Safety Workshop

We are pleased to invite you to a special Cyber Safety Workshop to support families in navigating the digital world on Thursday 21 August from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm in the Zenith Theatre. Brett Ryan, CEO of Focus on the Family Australia, will lead the session, offering practical strategies to help you manage technology use at home. He’ll speak on topics such as screen time, online safety, and navigating online content, all from a

Biblical perspective. Light refreshments will be served before the session, and there will be time for Q&A at the end.

We encourage all parents and carers to attend this valuable and timely event.

NAIDOC Week Celebration

This term, we are proud to support NAIDOC Week as we continue our journey of understanding and celebrating First Nations culture and history. As part of our celebrations, we will be welcoming Robert Young, a renowned Indigenous artist and speaker, to share with our students

and staff. Robert will also be partnering with the College into the future to help deepen our understanding of First Nations perspectives through a Biblical lens, ensuring our approach remains respectful, informed, and Christ-centered.

Parent–Teacher–Student Conferences

As part of our ongoing commitment to fostering strong relationships between home and school, our Parent–Teacher–Student Conferences will take place on Thursday, 31 July and Friday, 1 August. Please note that Friday, 1 August will be a student-free day to allow staff to complete conference appointments and follow-up planning.

Exciting Facility Updates:

We are thrilled to share that our new canteen is now complete and will be open from Day 1 of Term 3! This new space allows us to serve students more efficiently and ensures that VCE assessments will no longer interrupt canteen operations. We are also planning to open the canteen to

parents in the morning for coffee and cake soon; more details to come shortly! We are equally excited to unveil our new outdoor Amphitheater, which will be used for student performances, outdoor learning experiences, and community events. These enhancements reflect our commitment to providing creative and functional spaces that enrich student life and learning.

Uniform and Punctuality:

A reminder that full winter uniform is to be worn in Term 3. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately and in line with College expectations, including correct shoes, ties, and outerwear.

We also ask for your support in ensuring students arrive at school on time, ready to begin their day promptly. Punctuality fosters responsibility, respect, and sets a positive tone for learning.

Student Wellbeing:

As always, we remain committed to the holistic care of each child. Should your child experience any challenges this term; academic, social, emotional, or spiritual please reach out to their homeroom teacher or a member of the Wellbeing Team. We are here to support your child every step of the way.

Looking Ahead:

This term will also include a number of exciting learning experiences, extracurricular events, and opportunities for students to serve and shine. We encourage families to stay up to date via the College Calendar, newsletters, and SEQTA announcements.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is

understanding.” Proverbs 9:10 (NIV)

We are truly grateful for the opportunity to partner with you in Christian education. May Term 3 be a time of renewed focus, joy in learning, and continued growth in faith for all our students.
