Updates to our before and after school supervision
arrangements
18 July 2025
Dear Parents/Guardians,
We are writing to inform you of several important updates to our before and after school supervision arrangements at Lighthouse Christian College.
1. Camp Australia Before School Care – From 1 September
Beginning Monday, 1st September 2025, Before School Care will be managed by Camp Australia for primary students under the
age of 13.
Camp Australia has been providing our afterschool care since 2015 and brings over 30 years of experience in delivering structured and safe
care programs. This change will ensure consistency and sustainability going forward.
To attend Before School Care from this date, students must be registered with Camp Australia.
To register or view pricing, please visit: https://pp.campaustralia.com.au
(Please see the attached flyer in the SEQTA DM for more information.)
From 1 September, unregistered students cannot attend Before School Care and should not arrive before 8:15am.
For any queries, please contact Kathryn Samuel via SEQTA DM.
2. Before School Supervision
Currently, students who arrive early are supervised in the Library until 8:15am.
This service is provided at no cost by the College and will continue until Friday, 29th August 2025.
However, we strongly encourage families to drop students off from 8:15am onwards.
Please note:
- Students not registered for Before School Care must not be on-site before 8:15am.
- Students are not permitted on the oval before school and must remain in designated supervised areas.
- Once students arrive, they must not leave the school grounds under any circumstances.
- Secondary students are not eligible for Before School Care and should only arrive after 8:15am.
3. After School Supervision
Please also be reminded of the following end-of-day procedures:
- All student supervision concludes at 3:45pm daily.
- Primary students not collected by 3:45pm will be escorted to Camp Australia, and families will be billed for the service.
- Secondary students still on-site at 3:45pm must report to Student Reception, where parents will be contacted for collection.
- Students should not remain in or gather at the adjacent park after school. This area is unsupervised and may present safety concerns.
4. Parent Access to Campus
To support student safety and reduce congestion during
pickup:
- Primary parents may enter the school grounds from 3:00pm.
- Secondary parents may enter from 3:30pm.
Parents who enter the school grounds before 3:00pm are considered visitors and must report to Reception to sign in. Those who do
not follow this requirement will be asked to leave and return at the appropriate time.
5. Modelling Safe Behaviour
We respectfully ask all parents and carers to model safe and respectful behaviour for our students, especially around roads and crossings.
Please:
- Use the pedestrian crossing rather than crossing mid-road.
- Follow all traffic signage and school drop-off procedures.
- Encourage your children to follow your example by using designated pathways and safety crossings.
By setting a consistent example, we help all students develop safe habits and reduce the risk of accidents.
We thank you for your continued cooperation and support as we work together to maintain a safe and well-supervised environment for all
students.

Thank You
Thank you for your continued support and partnership of our school community.
