School Photos and Student ID Cards

11 June 2025

Dear Parents and Guardians,

We’re pleased to let you know that your child will be bringing home their 2025 school photos today.

In addition, secondary students have also been issued their new Student ID cards, which feature the Public Transport Victoria (PTV) logo.

These ID cards serve as official proof of eligibility for concession fares and student passes on public transport. Students do not need to apply or pay separately for a PTV School Student ID card.

Please take note of the following important points:

  • Students must carry their ID card when using public transport to access concession fares or to purchase a student pass.

  • To buy a student pass, students must present their ID card at a staffed station or bus operator and submit a completed PTV Student Pass Sales Form.

  • If a student pass is lost, it can only be replaced when the Student ID card is presented. If the ID card is also lost, a new school-issued ID must be obtained first.

  • We strongly recommend registering your child’s myki card online to enable replacement in case of loss or theft.

Please note that the Student ID card does not entitle students to free travel. They must still carry a valid myki card when

travelling.
